Moving Out of State

Do you ever think about packign up your bags and just moving away and never looking back?

I have too!!

Something about a fresh start taste so good right now. Its a hunger you never felt before. But you dont even know where to begin, am I right? Well, me either so lets just talk this through together. Ill just share my insight with you as I get ready to move out of state myself right now as we speak.

Well let me see, I think the first thing I did was descuss with my partner about what we wanted to do in life. We both wanted to be in warmer weather and warm weather all year long. We searched for places first that had a place to transfer for our jobs. In those ares, we then searched for different places on realtor. There we was able to put what we were looking for in the search bar. I wrote down a few places I seen that I liked. Obvisouly I know they probably wont be available when Im ready but it gave me an idea of the area. From there I would look on google maps and look at that city or town to see what kinds of things there are do.

I also look to see about the opportunities the place has. That is something to think about because thats the best way to become successfull, Have options. Plenty of them. Now that you have a general idea of where the location is you can look at different places to live in that area. We are looking at trailers we can rent to own, so we can just have land to live on. I want to have a farm and raise some of our food so I dont have to buy the stuff from the store, they are changing up stuff so bad you dont know if your eating real stuff or fake stuff anymore. I want to have some farm animals as pets. I want to have my business on the land as well. Like up the road around the bend lol

I want to live in the country so thats what I search for when looking for homes. But you can search for anything you want.

Now that I have that all figured out I start looking for if my jobs allow transfers. If not I make a list of potiental places I want to apply for before moving down there. (I like to make a list of everything lol I will lose it later but it helps to get everything off my mind onto paper to make room for more ideas LOL)

I then figure out what I want to keep or sale or throw away. Looking at the cost of a Uhaul place will have you stressing out because depending where your moving to its pretty pricey. So seeing how much it was going to cost to move my house I have decided to sale everything but clothes, dog things, office things and beds. ( Besides my daughters bed, we are selling this bunk bed and getting a triple bunkbed for the 3 girls. My son will be getting a full size bed and I'm taking his futon and using it in my office maybe. If we move I may not have a office) )Im going to make an office from a shed, We will talk more about that later)

So I made a list of everything im selling or throwing away. Every day I have decided to throw and declutter a little bit each day. I started with my office and actually got rid of a lot of things I didnt use anymore. The next stop Im cleanign up is the basement. I dont have much but I can throw out a lot of crap. So in the next few days Ill be working on that. I may have a youtube video of that posted if i dont forget to record.

So your next step would be downsize and declutter. Its hard but once you realize that some things you need to let go of you will feel much better, ecpecially knowing that this end result you will be one step closer to moving where you want to.

Im at this stage in the process, so Im not exactly sure where to conitnue. I know I did request to start seeing friends and family more before we move because we are not sure when that will be.

We have decided to help with our decision we are going to take a little trip to our secret destination to see what its like down there. We will spend about a week there going sight seeing and doing fun stuff but we will also be going to look at the areas we are interested in moving to.

So plan a small trip to your destination of choice and take a look around. If your like me and have pets, its in your best interest to talk to the owners of the properties your interested in to make sure they are pet friendly before you make a big move like that. The last thing you want is to move and you have to get rid of your beloved dog that you had for the last 10 years. Non sense, You go take a small trip and you learn everthing you need to know before making your final decision.

We will be going to visit our secret spot probably around Febuary or March 2024. I will probably blog about our trip and record some videos so if your reading this stayed tuned for those as well. They will be posted on our youtube channel as well.

If I can share some packing advice, Use totes with lids, They are easly stackable and dont take a lot of space plus your stuff wont get ruined if something were to spill.

Well Im at a stopping point in this whole moving thing, Im just going to spemd time with friends and family and focus on the now and you should do the same, Ill be back with another blog on finshing the moving process. Check back for part 2, Good night
